How To Use

Ensure that the ducting is securely fastened to your extract fan or carbon filter. An air tight seal is crucial to make sure that no leakages occur, and unwanted grow room odours escape to the outside world.  For the ultimate sealed connection, we recommend using fast clamps.

Ensure that the ducting is pulled as tight as possible throughout the duct run. Any sagging throughout the run will increase the pressure on the extraction fan and reduce the air flow capacity. Similarly, when you need to have a bend in a duct run, making use of a 90-degree elbow is vastly superior to simply bending the ducting itself.

Tips

Try to cut the ducting to just the right length, to avoid any unwanted sagging and consequently drop in air flow rates. Simply pierce the aluminium sheath with a sharp knife where needed and use wire cutters/pliers to cut through the wire skeleton.

Be wary of using as an intake run during cold winter months. Condensation will build up around the outside from the difference in temperature of the cold intake air, and the warm grow room environment. Excessive moisture in your hydroponic grow room can lead to problems with botryitis later on in flower.

Check the connection is air tight by running a lit splint around the connections. Any smoke will be drawn into areas not correctly sealed, indicating further attention is needed to secure this area.
